The Greens, who acquired the Stafford Farm in 2021, have transformed the 69.8 acres into a thriving haven. We cultivate grapes, craft delicious wines, and offer a welcoming space to enjoy farm-to-table cuisine amidst beautiful flower gardens.
- What does it mean to be a preserved farm? Saddlehill is a vibrant farm dedicated to agriculture and community. We're proud to be permanently preserved, meaning our land is protected from development and will forever be used for agricultural purposes. While this might lead you to believe it's a public space, Saddlehill remains privately owned. Our commitment to preservation allows us to focus on what we do best: supporting New Jersey's agricultural heritage and fostering a sense of community.

Additional Information
- Does Saddlehill host weddings & other life milestones? Because Saddlehill is a preserved farm we have restrictions set forth by the NJ State Agricultural Development Committee (SADC) and are unable to host special occasion events such as weddings and other life milestones in our tasting room until our building is 5 years old. We are considering making tented events available in the future. For more information on the NJ law click here.
- What are you doing about indoor sound management? Our tasting room was designed with high ceilings and expansive windows to create an open and inviting atmosphere. This does mean that sound can carry when we have a full house, particularly when we have larger groups gathered around our big tables. We've taken steps to mitigate this with the addition of acoustic panels and artwork, and we're always mindful of maintaining a balance between a lively atmosphere and a comfortable noise level. If you prefer a quieter setting, we recommend making a reservation and visiting during off-peak hours, such as weekdays or earlier in the day.
- Do you offer horse boarding, lessons or rides? No. We are precluded from equestrian services such as boarding, riding lessons or rides to the public because we are a preserved farm and our land uses have been limited by the deed of preservation.
