Discover the Estate
Saddlehill sits on land with a story older than the nation itself. This hilltop property along White Horse Road traces its roots to 1701, when the Matlack family — whose descendant Timothy Matlack Jr. would go on to scribe the Declaration of Independence — owned this very land. The land later passed to Lt John Stafford, a personal guard to General George Washington, whose family farmed it for over 200 years, eventually gaining recognition for breeding and training harness racing horses.
Today, owners Amy and Bill Green have preserved that remarkable heritage while transforming the estate into Saddlehill — a destination where guests can enjoy estate-crafted wines, farm-to-table culinary delights, and a peaceful escape from everyday life.
