Saddlehill, formerly known as Stafford Farm, is a historic property in Voorhees, New Jersey, with a rich legacy dating back to 1773. The land was home to the Stafford family, who settled here after the Revolutionary War. For generations, they cultivated the land and later gained recognition for breeding and training harness racing horses.
Today, the estate has been transformed into Saddlehill Winery, where owners Amy and Bill Green have preserved its rich heritage while creating a destination where guests can enjoy estate-crafted wines, farm-to-table culinary delights, and a peaceful escape from everyday life. The estate is also home to a working farm with horses, alpacas, sheep, chickens, and honey bees, adding to the charm of the Saddlehill experience.
Saddlehill Winery’s vegetable farm is an integral part of our commitment to fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Our farm-to-table experience highlights the seasonal bounty grown right on our property. From vibrant greens to heirloom tomatoes, fresh eggs, and fragrant herbs, our farm provides a direct connection between the land and the plate.
Beyond supplying our kitchen, the farm contributes to the sustainability of the estate, with our sheep helping to maintain the vineyards by naturally controlling weeds, our bee hives providing pollination and our alpacas providing wool that we transform into cozy hats sold in our market. This harmony between the vineyard, farm, and table reflects our dedication to honoring the land’s history while offering guests an unforgettable experience.
