It’s hard to believe that just a few short months ago, we were preparing to open the doors to Saddlehill Winery. The journey has been exhilarating, and the support from our community has been overwhelming.
We've been absolutely thrilled by the outpouring of positive reviews about our wines, food, and service. Your kind words mean the world to our entire team. It's incredibly rewarding to see our vision for Saddlehill come to life and be so warmly embraced. And let’s not forget the beauty of the property itself – it's a true labor of love, and we're so happy to share it with you.
Harvest
As we look forward to the harvest season, which actually officially started this week, we'll be busy harvesting approximately 18 of our 27 acres, with 13 of those acres being first-year harvests. Between the Saddlehill property and our nearby leased vineyards we anticipate 100+ tons of grapes. Our winemaking team is gearing up for an exciting but busy time. They’ll be putting in long days, 10+ hours, sometimes 7 days a week. Their passion and dedication to making wine is awe-inspiring. And luckily, we get to enjoy the fruit of their labor in every glass of Saddlehill wine. We're excited to continue producing some of the best wines in New Jersey.
Classes
We recently started offering fun and educational classes like yoga, paint and sip, guided journaling and flower arranging. We didn’t know what to expect with these classes but our goal was to utilize our beautiful farm in different ways and give people a variety of ways to experience the space. So far the response has been great. Many of our classes have sold out! We look forward to continuing to expand our programming and welcoming even more of the community to enjoy Saddlehill. We're committed to making Saddlehill a hub for community engagement.
Guest Services
Initially, we set up an AI phone system. We received mixed feedback with many guests finding it frustrating to not be able to talk to a human. Last month we introduced our new Guest Services department and guests can now call in and speak to a Saddlehill team member. In addition to our online and email reservations, we now have a dedicated team on-site to assist you with anything you need. Whether it's a reservation, planning a group tasting or simply helping you choose the perfect wine, our Guest Services team is here to enhance your Saddlehill experience.
